Electricity
Static electricity is an electrical charge on the surface of an object. Current electricity is a flow of negative charges through a conductor in a closed circuit. Some materials make good conductors and others make good insulators. Come to the the Hands-on Science Lab for six exciting lab stations based on the 4th Grade - "CALIFORNIA SCIENCE STANDARDS". Six stations are presented for your students to explore electricity. Station #1: "Conductors or Insulators" experiments with different materials to discover if they will conduct electricity. Station #2: "Secret Circuit Boards" will help students understand a 'complete circuit'. Station #3: "Static Electricity" is a shocking experience. Station #4: "Let There Be Light" explores the ins and outs of a light bulb. Station #5: "Electromagnets" will have the students building the worlds smallest motors. At Station #6: "Three Ring Circuit" creates different circuits in different ways. Come and enjoy the excitement of an action packed Hands-on, Minds-on Science Lab with your students.
